Description
Linac4 is a 160MeV H  linear accelerator presently under the beam commissioning. It will be the injector of cern proton accelerator complex as a replacement for the present 50MeV proton Linac2 to increase the LHC luminosity. Linac4 will accelerate H  ions from 45keV to 160 MeV along the 80m long accelerator. The beam commissioning of the machine has been started with a pre‐commissioning on 2011 at the 45keV Low Energy Beam Transport (LEBT) part and progressed to the 107MeV energy after Cell‐Couples Drift Tube on summer 2016. This presentation will cover a quick review of machine, low and medium energy beam commissioning and will get more focused on the 107MeV beam commissioning.
