Non-local Correlations and Fractional Symmetries

In critical dynamics, non local correlations are observed. Fractional derivatives as operators which gather non-local information have been suggested as possible symmetries of such phenomena. In this talk we first look over some phenomena in nature which have long distance correlations. We then shortly introduce fractional derivatives. In the end we add such derivatives to the Galilean conformal algebras and present a new class of such symmetries.
