Description

The use of electromagnetic waves is increasing with the advent of technology and the invention of new systems. One type of electromagnetic waves is X-rays that have various applications in various fields of medical such as diagnostics (radiography, mammography, CT scan,…) or treatment (IMRT, 3DCRT, MR-LINAC ,…), industry (device Material analysis like XRF, XRD ...), military applications (checkpoints, ...) and many more. At present, in all applications, classical x-ray tube or linear accelerators are used to generate X-rays that can generate X-rays with different energies using the bremsstrahlung interaction, which x-rays that product from these ways, have a spectrum of energy. Synchrotron radiation has special properties such as mono energy, high brightness, coherent, etc. The use of X-rays produced by synchrotron can be used for imaging (SRμCT, imaging based on phase contrast), treatment (PAT, MRT) and etc. In this paper, the uses of synchrotron radiation in the medicine have been investigated.
