Propagation of quantum fields on quantum spacetime

After a brief review on the importance of quantum gravity research and the significant results of loop quantum cosmology, we investigate the propagation of quantum fields on the quantized background. We show that when the backreation of the field on the quantum geometry is considered, the emergent semi-classical spacetime will be mode dependent, i.e., a Rainbow spacetime emerges. Properties of such a spacetime will be discussed in cosmological and black hole settings. That mode dependent causes, in particular, a chromatic aberration in the gravitational lensing process and a modified dispersion relation for light.
