11:00 → 12:00 From Partons to Hadrons: Global Fragmentation-Function Analyses with New COMPASS SIDIS Data

Fragmentation functions describe the non-perturbative transition of partons into observed hadrons and are essential for precision studies of hadron production. This seminar will present recent global determinations of fragmentation functions for charged hadrons, pions, and kaons within a unified neural-network framework. The analyses combine electron–positron annihilation and semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering data, including the latest COMPASS measurements, and are performed at NLO and NNLO accuracy. Particular attention will be given to the impact of the new COMPASS datasets, flavor separation, theoretical uncertainties, and the role of fragmentation functions in current and future QCD phenomenology.
