12:30 → 13:30 Helical quadrupoles for capturing, focusing and transport of laser accelerated protons

Abstract: Applications of Helical Quadrupole Focusing Channels (HQFC) as potential candidates for transport of beams of secondary particles like muon beams and beams of protons generated by laser accelerated ions are investigated. I present the results of modeling the helical quadrupole channels and also the beam dynamics for the therapy applications to collect, focusing and transport a laser accelerated proton beam.
