Description

In this talk I discuss novel ways for exploring quantum phase transitions using quantum information and quantum thermodynamics. I will show that not only we can reproduce all the known features of quantum phase transitions but also go beyond the scope of traditional Landau-Ginzburg paradigm and address interesting class of quantum phase transitions in which no spontaneous symmetry breaking happens at criticality.
