Reaching higher energy in particle linear accelerators needs the higher axial electric field inside the RF cavities. CLIC's goal to reach TeV energy range push him to reach higher gradient field in the level of 100MV/m. Enormous studies and experiments was done to discover the special behavior of cavities in this range and to reduce their breakdown rate. Nowadays, these studies find his own way in other applications like compact free electron lasers, inverse Compton scattering x-ray source, Hadron-therapy and so in. IPM as one of CLIC's members proposed and wish to extend these studies to S-Band cavities with new fabrication and assembly techniques originally developed in the IPM electron linear accelerator project which will be covered in this lecture.
