Description
In this talk, I will first review the concept of cumulants and their application in heavy ion physics. We introduce an approximation around the Bessel-Gaussian for the flow harmonic distribution where the expansion coefficients are written in terms of n-particle cumulants. We call this distribution as Radial-Gram_Charlier (RGC) distribution. The RGC distribution leads us to define a new set of cumulants for heavy ion physics. Using these new cumulants, we will show that the average of the ellipticity for the second harmonics depends on the fine splitting of v_2{2k}.
