Cosmic Birefringence as a probe of dark matter nature: Sterile neutrino and dipolar dark matter 1h

Recently reported non-zero rotation angle (β = 0.30 ± 0.14 deg) for linear polarization of Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) radiation. We have used this Birefringence angle of CMB to study and distinguish between different candidates of dark matte, e.g. dipolar and Sterile neutrino dark matter. We have calculated CMB forward scattering by those probably candidates of dark matter to generate β in the presence of the primordial scalar fluctuations background. We have explicitly shown that bounds on the mass and electromagnetic coupling sector of dipolar dark matter due to Cosmic Birefringence (CB) angle are consistent with other reported and experimental bounds. Also our results can prove new strong limits on the mass and electromagnetic coupling sector of dipolar dark matter. On the other hand, our results completely role out the Sterile neutrino as a dark matter candidate.
